Generate a ready-to-use GAMEID.bnr by combining an icon template and a banner template.

{{Download-EBB-link}} Read instructions ↓

Works with GameCube and Wii banners (BNR). Output is created next to the launcher.

Quick start

  1. Create one folder per game (next to the launcher).
  2. Add PNG assets + an empty GAMEID.txt.
  3. Run EBB → choose icon template → choose banner template.
  4. Select a game folder (or 0 for ALL).
  5. Copy GAMEID.bnr into your loader’s cache_bnr.
Detection: a folder is listed only if it contains a GAMEID.txt.

Game ID reference

Create an empty text file named after the game ID (example: GCD.txt) → output will be GCD.bnr.

For games IDs, go to GameTDB and download wiitdb.txt

Per-game folder contents

Required files

  • icon_bg.png 256×128
  • icon_logo.png 170×96
  • banner_bg.png 1024×512
  • banner_logo.png 640×356
  • GAMEID.txt empty file, named after the game ID
Keep exact sizes. Do not resize these PNGs arbitrarily.

Optional files

  • sound.mp3 optional
  • slogotl.png top-left
  • slogotr.png top-right
  • slogobl.png bottom-left
  • slogobr.png bottom-right

If you don’t want corner logos, you still have to have these files in your folder, but leave them transparent.

Build a .bnr

  1. Launch EBB.
  2. Select an icon template (enter its number).
  3. Select a banner template (enter its number).
  4. Select a game folder (or 0 for ALL).
  5. When finished, the output .bnr is created next to the launcher.

Install

Copy the generated GAMEID.bnr into your loader’s cache_bnr folder.

Notes
  • Some banner templates may require an extra logoAlt.png (template-dependent).
  • Backgrounds follow Wii texture constraints (2:1 ratio / power-of-two-friendly sizes).
